LB-2 is an open world sci-fi, horror game that focuses on bringing a memorable and unique experience to each player by having a wide range of randomized variables and unique AI behaviour.

You find yourself barely making it to the exit of the underground facility where you have been working as a bio-engineer. Taking a look at the CCTV monitors in the reception reveals that the                           lab-subjects have breached containment as you predicted. They have proceeded to kill every worker and out-smart all quarantine systems in the lab.

 

Being the only survivor, you must decide to either exit the lab and allow the monsters a chance to escape, or face your fears and descend back into the brutal horrors of the lab in order to get to the facility’s armory and equip yourself with the weapons necessary to kill the subjects.

As the player, your mission is to find the randomly scattered fuses for the heavy armory door to open it and equip yourself with the facility's exoskeleton & unique weapons to eliminate the                         subjects.

 

You must use a range of strategies such as hiding in lockers or, throwing objects as distractions to avoid being spotted by the intelligent creatures.

You will have a limited amount of stamina that grows as you descend deeper into the horrors of the lab, but be careful not to sprint too often as your footsteps will become louder and make it harder to hold your breath as the monsters walk-by.

UNIQUE PLAYER-TO-PLAYER EXPERIECE

One of the main selling points of LB-2 is the open-world dynamic that makes each player experience unique. Each game objective has over 30 different spawn locations, each NPC survivor has 4 different spawn points and their actions are not scripted, they are interacting with the environment as much as the player and the monster AIs. For example, in one play-through the NPC survivor is caught by a monster in one room, and the next play-through the NPC manages to make it to the exit because he spawned in a different location and the monster took a different route. This is all done randomly in order to create a unique game-play experience for every single player that buys a copy of the game.

   Artificial Inteligence

         

Developing a competent and compelling AI is one of the most important roles in the making of a great game. I take part in the development of the AI for LB-2.

Memory Management

Efficient memory management is a major to make sure the game will run smoothly on any platform avoiding crashes and stutters in the loading of new objects / maps.

Level Design

I take part in the level design for LB-2 starting from a sketch to eventually a fully detailed and immersive environment.
